James A. Fox is a Managing Director and the Chief Financial Officer of Transwestern Investment Company, L.L.C. Mr. Fox is responsible for investment financial reporting, treasury functions, internal control, investment analysis and taxation, coordinating independent audits, overseeing risk management, and the day-to-day management of the accounting group. Mr. Fox is also the Chief Compliance Officer of Transwestern Securities Management, L.L.C.
Prior to joining the firm in 1998, Mr. Fox gained over 12 years of related experience in various positions with Miglin-Beitler, Winston Management, Homart Development and The Balcor Company.
A Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Fox earned his BA in economics from The University of Wisconsin Parkside and his MBA from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He is a member of The National Association of Real Estate Companies and serves on the Board of Directors for Housing Opportunities for Women, a Chicago not-for-profit organization.
